FEDERAL CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES
The Federal government offers several web portals to assist companies seeking to identify contract and grant opportunities.  Three of the most effective search services are found below.

FedBizOpps.gov is the U.S. Government's one-stop virtual marketplace, listing a broad array of business opportunities with federal customers.

Grants.gov
is a central storehouse for information on over 1,000 grant programs available through Federal agencies.

DoD TechMatch
provides industry and academia a Department of Defense-sponsored portal to identify Research & Development Opportunities, Licensable Patents, and information on approximately 120 DoD Labs.  This free subscription-based service matches a company's interests with opportunities available through FedBizOpps, Grants.gov, and SBIR/STTR solicitations.

FLORIDA FEDERAL CONTRACT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University maintains a listing of recent Defense Department contract awards over $5,000,000 that include Florida-based activity.  These announcements are provided on a monthly basis through free subscriptions to The Florida Defense Contracts Monitor.  Subscriptions can be arranged by contacting This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE
The Office of Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) provides management assistance to current and prospective small business owners. SBDCs offer one-stop assistance to individuals and small businesses by providing a wide variety of information and guidance in central and easily accessible branch locations. The program is a cooperative effort of the private sector, the educational community and federal, state and local governments.

The Small Business Development Center at the University of South Florida serves the following counties: Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, Hardee, Sarasota and Highlands.  Additional information is available at http://sbdc.usf.edu/about.asp or by contacting the office at 813-905-5800.

 

WORKFORCE AND EMPLOYMENT RESOURCES
FFCA is pleased to partner with WorkNet Pinellas to help employers identify quality candidates and assist job seekers interested in working with federal contractors. 

WorkNet Pinellas provides employers a free resource to identify qualified candidates to fill open positions.  Companies interested in identifying candidates are encouraged to contact WorkNet at 727-524-4344 and reference the Florida Federal Contractors Association.
